I was also wondering about the free music sites.
How do you credit the artist?
Where should you put the music website? Should I put it on the card itself
or in the card description, or somewhere else?

Thanks so much.

As regarding copyright free music first you need to study the terms and conditions of the website which is offering the music for free.

There are sites which allow users to listen to music for free. These music are eventually not copyright free for commercial or personal use. They are only assembled in a site for visitors to hear.

As regarding stock music sites, usage parameters differs from site to site. It is safe to use music if the terms of service allows users to download/modify and use the music for any purpose personal or commercial usage.

If a credit has to be offered then the same can be done in the following ways:
1. The domain name can be provided in the description of the card.
2. The domain name can be provided within the card in one single frame or through out the card, depending on whether it is a flash card or a post card.

Note : In both cases there will be no hyperlink associated with the credit.

Hello,
I’d like to ask, can I use midi files from free midi sites?
In particular from this website:
http://www.hamienet.com/

Thank you.
Best regards,
Al

Just an FYI to everyone, as of June 2014 Dan from http://www.danosongs.com is NO LONGER providing his music for free. If we have already created cards using his music it is ok, but you can no longer go to his site and download music. :( He was one of the best! I used his music all the time!
